Working with Rian Johnson , director of the action/sci-fi film Looper was great. Kennedy Taylor, the First AD, was especially cool to work with. He totally understood what I needed to deliver and let me know when to sneak in and out of shots. I tried my best to capture bts and scene stills while not getting in the way or stepping on any toes. They called me a ninja, which always makes me happy to hear. I ditched the blimp fairly quickly and shot motion during the filming, and stills during the rehearsals... and more stills during the print shoot in between scenes.
Art Director, Nate Ripp and I edited files on the spot to send over to the other creatives in NY and also to the special effects department. It's a little nutty shooting, downloading, and editing asap with the volume I shoot for reportage, especially in low light, but we made it work. Danica Rosen was the print producer on this shoot and was also fabulous to work with.
Thank you to Maggie Sumner for bringing me in on this project. You're the best! xo
